Jr/Sr High School Event – Snow fort building on Saturday, January 13th from 3:00 to 5:00 on the front lawn of the church. Hot chocolate to follow. Please let Jordan know if you are interested.

College and Career Dinner – Sunday, January 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 at Jordan and Candace’s place. Drives can be arranged and diets accommodated. Please let Jordan know if you are interested.

Thank You – The Mission Development and Social Action Committee would like to thank all that supported cookie dough sales and the Mission Tree.  With your support, these efforts raised $534.20. This total was divided between 3 projects: Vera Blake’s work with First Nations Youth, Catherin Wilson’s engineering work in Africa and PCC “Gifts of Change”.

Cookie Dough –  Supplies are running low, get your cookie dough now.  Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and ginger still available.

The Fredericton Women’s Inter-Church Council – World Day of Prayer Planning Meeting on Monday, January 15,2018 at 10:00 am at Morning Gate Church. The 2018 service was written by the Women of the Republic of Suriname. Women of all denominations of faith are encouraged to come help plan for the World Day of Prayer on March 2. On that day please join us with 170 Countries worldwide as we pray for justice and peace.

Panel Discussion – “God’s Dream for Us: Finding Unity in Diversity”

Hosted by The Fredericton Women’s Inter-Church Council on Thursday, January 25 from 2 – 4 pm at Holy Family Church (storm date: Jan 28). Members involved in the discussion are Moderator Mary Ryan along with Gladys Lacey-House, Linda Lamont, Nancy Bauer, Dr. W. Barry Miller, Margaret Leonard, Kate Rogers, Chris McAloon, Lisa Bamford, Kay Furlong, Shirley DeMerchant and Father Monte Peters.  Free will donation to Liberty Lane.

Divorcecare – Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Tuesdays, 6:30-9 pm starting January 16.  For more information contact the church office by phone (458-8348) or email (greg@bsbc.nb.ca).  Details about DivorceCare can be found at:  www.divorcecare.org.  There is no charge for this program.

Griefshare – Support groups at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Thursday evenings or Friday afternoons beginning Jan 11 and 12. ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – Friday Dec 15 at 7pm at St. Paul’s United Church. Story and musical offerings.  Free will offering for CBC’s Feed a Family.

Parking Restrictions are in effect along Carleton Street and other nearby streets.  Please watch for winter parking restriction signs.

Annual Pot Luck Lunch this Sunday after worship.

The Mission Tree is set up at the back of the Sanctuary. On the tree, you will find suggested gifts for the families, identified by staff of the Community Health Centre and Transition House, that we are supporting this Advent season.  Envelopes on the tree provide an opportunity to support a First Nations Youth Program coordinated by Presbyterian educator, Vera Blake or Catherine Wilson’s work with Engineering Ministries International.  Please return gifts to the church by December 17th.

Our Treasurer, John Astle, is retiring after 28 years of service, effective at the Annual Meeting.  At this time, any members or adherents with an interest in serving in the role of Treasurer are asked to contact The Board of Managers.  Should information be needed, please contact John Astle.

Annual Advent Carol Festival –  St. Paul’s United Church on Wed, Dec 6 at 7:30 p.m.  A freewill offering will be received towards CBC’s Feed a Family.

Memorial Tree Lighting – Wed, Dec 6 at McAdam’s Funeral Home at 7:00 pm.  All those who are remembering a loved one at this holiday season are invited to join.
