College & Career Dinner – Sunday, April 3, 6:30 to 9 pm. Homemade food at Jordan and Candace’s place. Drives can be arranged and diets accommodated. Let Jordan know by Sat. the 26th if you are interested.

New Books for our Library! – Five (gently used) Karen Kingsbury novels have been purchased: Beyond Tuesday Morning, Even Now, Family, This Side of Heaven, and Unlocked. They will be displayed on the library table in the Church Hall. As well, four brand new books have been added Fearless by Max Lucado (reviewed in the Spring Link) Seven Things That Steal Your Joy by Joyce Meyer; and two novels with an Easter theme:  Behold the Man by Bodie and Brock Thoene and Risen, the novelization of the major motion picture by Angela Hunt. All books are ready to be signed out.

EASTER SPECIAL OFFERING – an Easter special offering envelope was included with the latest copy of our quarterly newsletter The Link. The budget for this offering is $4,300. At this time of the year when our expenses far exceed revenues, the need to maintain a positive cash flow is important to our financial health. You are urged to prayerfully consider making a contribution to this appeal.  Thank you.

Proclamation: The Word of the Lord – May 4 to May 13 at Ste. Anne’s Chapel of Ease at Christ Church Parish Church.  It is the reading aloud of the entire Bible over a 10-day period, 14 hours per day.  The Canadian Bible Society’s goal is to proclaim God’s message in as many communities as possible. All churches, regardless of denomination, are invited to be part of the Proclamation event. Please contact Marg Leonard, Captain for SAPC if you would like to be part of this sharing of God’s Word.

The World Day of Prayer Service, as prepared by the Women of Cuba, will be held at Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church this Sunday, March 6 beginning at 2:00 pm.   All are welcome to attend!

  • Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church:

Concert at Saint Andrew’s – Sidney Murgatroyd, a grade 11 student, is making his solo concert debut on Sunday, February 28 at 3:00 pm here at Saint Andrew’s.  Sidney is a gifted and versatile musician who will be playing violin, viola, and saxophone at this concert featuring Classical, Jazz, and Traditional Celtic tunes.  Admission is by free will offering with a reception to follow.  Proceeds will go to support both Sidney’s music endeavors and instrument maintenance at the church.  Please join us for an outstanding afternoon of musical entertainment.

The Link – Do you have a poem, story, recipe or article you think would be of interest to others? Preparations are underway for the spring issue of “The Link”.  Please send submissions to the church office by February 28.

It is the reading aloud of the entire Bible over a 10-day period, 14 hours per day.  The Canadian Bible Society’s goal is to proclaim God’s message in as many communities as possible across Canada. Proclamation will be held in Fredericton from May 4 – May 13, 2016 in the Ste. Anne’s Chapel of Ease at Christ Church Parish Church on Westmorland Street.  All neighbouring Christian churches, regardless of denomination, are invited to participate, and to be part of the Proclamation event. Rev. Priscilla Geisterfer will be co-ordinating the Readings involving all of the Churches and Religious Groups and is available to answer any of your questions regarding Proclamation. Please call her at Nashwaaksis United Church, 458-9452.

Marg Leonard has offered to be the contact person for our Church. Please phone her or call the Church office at 455-8220 if you would like to be part of this sharing of God’s Word.
