• Join the Youth & Families Coordinator Search Committee. Support SAPC in this next chapter by committing some time to helping prepare the job posting and interview candidates. Interviews to be completed by the end of June. If you would like to be part of this exciting time and team please see Rev Jon or Jaqueline

• Are you ready to be the new Convenor of the Mission Team? The position is open to anyone who has a heart for God’s people and a love of reaching the lost. Please see Rev Jon or Dallas for more information.

• Is God calling you to step up and serve your congregation in the role of Treasurer? Andrew & Carol have agreed to stay on until a replacement is found and have graciously agreed to help transition the new Treasurer into the position. The position is open to anyone who desires to be instrumental in church finances and caring for the congregation’s daily operations. Please see Rev Jon or Andrew or Carol for more information.

Apartment for Rent? – Jordan has been in conversation with a young Christian couple from Ontario who are looking to rent a space for 10 months (August 21 – June 28) while they both attend UNB (B.Ed program). They are reaching out to our local SAPC network in hopes of helping them confidently find a place sight unseen. Please see Jordan if you, or someone you know, may have a basement apartment or space to rent.

Candlelight Concert for Palm Sunday – The congregation of Brunswick Street Baptist Church invites you to join them for this worship concert being offered on Sunday, April 14 at 6:30 pm. Vocal soloists include Beth Snow, Giselle Tranquilla and David Steeves with instrumental soloists Scott Kennedy, violin and Susan Tingley Howey, flute in addition to music of the adult choir. The offering from the concert is designated to support the work of the Fredericton Community Clinic. A reception will follow.

Holocaust Memorial ObservanceSunday, April 28, at 3:00 pm at the Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St. Following the service, a reception will be held in the social hall.

• Jordan Schriver has been offered a wonderful new job! He has accepted it and will be moving away in early August. We are happy for him, but sad to see him go. In anticipation of this, a Search Committee is being formed to find his replacement. If you would like to be part of this exciting time and team please see Rev Jon, Jaqueline (Convenor), or Jordan to join the search! Anyone can be part of this team. All you need is a love of God’s people and a heart for enriching young spirits and minds!

• After many years as Convenor of the Mission, Development & Social Action Committee (new name Outreach & Mission Team) Dallas Davis is retiring from the position. He will still sit on the committee and so a great resource and help will be there for the new Convenor. The question is: Are you ready to be the new Convenor of the Mission Team? The position is open to anyone who has a heart for God’s people and a love of reaching the lost. Please see Rev Jon or Dallas for more information. Or of course volunteer your services!

• As stated at the AGM, Andrew Ottens will be leaving the Treasurer’s position. However, he and Carol have agreed to stay until a replacement is found. He has graciously agreed to help transition the new Treasurer into the position. The question is: Is God calling you to step up and serve your congregation in this very unique way? The position is open to anyone who desires to be instrumental in church finances and caring for the congregation daily operations. Please see Rev Jon or Andrew or Carol for more information. Children’s Choir rehearsals will begin on Friday, March 22 from 4:00 – 4:30pm. Children of all ages are welcome! We look forward to singing, playing musical instruments and enjoying musical activities. Please contact either David or Kathie Berry at 453-9301 if you would like further information.

Doughnut Making (Grades 9 to 12) – March 24 in the kitchen from 6 to 8 pm.

Men in Song – Join the congregation of Brunswick Street Baptist Church March 24, 6:30 pm for “An Evening of Men in Song for Missions”. Soloists David Steeves and Chris Graves, duets by Peter and Dan Steeves, a men’s ensemble and chorus present a wonderful concert of songs of praise – including lots of congregational singing. The offering will be in support of missions in India and here in Fredericton. All welcome.

Chili Take-Out Supper – Friday, April 5, pick-up 4-6pm, Nashwaaksis United Church, 46 Main Street. Enjoy chili (mild beef), roll, side salad and dessert for $12. Reserve your take-out meals by April 3 with Rindy or Tom Austin, 450-7151.

Church Fellowship – Join us March 17th at the Kings Landing Sugar Bush spectacular! Celebrate the coming of spring and enjoy the sweet tradition of collecting and preparing maple sugar. Admission: Family $12, Adult $7, Child $3.50, 5 & under free. Maple candy on the snow: $2 per stick. We will meet in the church hall at 12:30pm to carpool. All are welcome!
