Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and the Multicultural Association of Fredericton celebrated World Refugee Day, Saturday, June 20, with a family Walk with Refugees.

IMG_1607As we passed by houses built by Fredericton’s first wave of refugees and their families, we stopped to hear stories about their contributions to the new community of Fredericton.

Walk with Refugees

Please join a family Walk with Refugees starting from the Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church lawn (512 Charlotte St.) at 1:30pm on World Refugee Day, Saturday, June 20. The 1-hour walk, organized in partnership with the Multicultural Association of Fredericton, will pass by houses built by Fredericton’s first wave of refugees, through the early cemetery and return to the church. Participants will learn how important refugees have been and how they continue to enrich our community. On return to Saint. Andrew’s church, we will share lemonade on the lawn. Rain date is Saturday, July 4th.
