Annual Meeting – You are invited to come and join together at this year’s annual meeting on February 25th.  Churches are at their best when they have input from as many people as possible! Following worship on the 25th we will have lunch in the Church Hall and receive and consider the financial reports.  We will also look at the proposed budget for 2018.  We will reflect on what has taken place during the past year.  We will celebrate God’s goodness and generosity. Copies of the Annual Report are available at the back of the sanctuary. Please bring your copy to the meeting.  Additional copies will be available at the meeting and in the church office.

The Mission Development and Social Action Committee would welcome any to join and contribute ideas and help in fulfilling the mission of the church in our community and beyond. We meet once a month, usually on a Wednesday evening. Contact Dallas Davis.

Cookie Dough – Only a few tubs left!  Pick up some chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin or gingersnap dough before its gone, in support of the Mission Committee.

Our annual March Break Lunch at the Courtyard at the Ramada has been booked for after church (12:30ish) on Sunday, March 11th.  Please try to join us for fellowship and a meal.  The buffet is available for about $21 (taxes but not the tip included) with reduced rates for children (half price for those 6-12 and free for those under 6 when the parent orders the buffet).  Or you can order off the lunchtime menu.  To ensure we are all seated together please reply to Mary Charters by Wednesday, March 7th if you will be joining us.

Saint Andrew’s Benevolent Fund  – To fulfill Christ’s mission for the church beyond the Fredericton area, it is important to contribute to Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWS&D) for support of those affected by natural disasters and to help break the cycle of poverty in countries where PWS&D conducts projects directly and in cooperation with other churches. For our own area, the Benevolent Fund exists so that our church can address temporary emergency needs brought on by unforeseen economic hardship. As a means of giving assistance to individuals and families who are having a difficult time financially and may not be able to go to the Food Bank, Saint Andrew’s has food vouchers purchased with money in the Fund. The money has come from voluntary contributions by Elders, from donations by the Tuesday Morning Ladies Group and by carrying forward to the next financial year money raised by the Mission Development and Social Action Committee some of which may be committed for student or other outreach activities. All members and adherents are encouraged to make tax deductible donations by either using a separate envelope marked with your name or envelope number and “benevolent fund” or by writing on your regular envelope that a certain dollar amount of the contents is for the Benevolent Fund.
