On Sunday, November 6, we held our annual Remembrance Sunday Service.
Calvin Presbyterian Church
37 King St. (Chatham), Miramichi, NB.
Saturday, October 1, 2016. 10:00am – 3:00pm
Lunch will be provided.
During the day, attendees will:
• Listen for and identify places where God is active in the ministry across the presbytery
• Discover models of renewal from across Canada
• Learn how to maximize congregational and presbytery resources
• Have fun exploring ways to revitalize ministry
• Look at ways that presbytery can support the work of renewal
The Presbytery of Grey Bruce Maitland in rural Ontario recently went through a similar process and as part of the day October 1, John and Jen will share their experiences.
Registration is not required, but it is important that we know the approximate number of people coming so that we can prepare an appropriate lunch with minimal surplus and waste.
Questions and registration numbers can be directed to sapcfred@gmail.com
On Sunday June 19, 2016 we gathered for an all-ages worship service, followed by a hearty BBQ, to celebrate the conclusion of another school year, thank our teachers and congratulate those graduating from high school and university. We also bid good-bye to a much loved family, who are returning to their family roots in British Columbia.
Enjoy a few snapshots of the day:

For their final meeting before September, our Tuesday Morning Ladies Group went for a tour of the Greener Village Community Food Centre with a delicious lunch prepared in the Teaching Kitchen following the tour.
It was very sobering to learn of the many families who depend on the food bank monthly. Greener Village also has a clothing bank and small boutique where clients may make purchases. The gardens and greenhouses are used for growing vegetables, which provides fresh produce during the growing season.
The food bank is currently low on large jars of peanut butter and spaghetti sauce.
