Thinking Day / Baden Powell Sunday 2017

On Sunday February 19, 2017, we celebrated the Scouting and Guiding movements and enjoyed the participation of the groups within our church community.

The groups, in turn, used the opportunity to thank the congregation for their continuing support.

Joy Sunday!

The 3rd Sunday in Advent is also know as Joy Sunday. December 11, 2016 certainly was joyful at Saint Andrew’s! The children, youth and young adults led most of the service, including participation from the Church School classes and the Children’s Choir. The Senior Choir and our Minister rounded out the celebration.

The morning concluded with an incredible pot-luck lunch.

Children’s Choir Road Trip

Last Friday, the Saint Andrew’s Children’s Choir went on a “Road Trip”  to Farraline Place to visit retired Senior Choir member, Mrs. Helene O’Donnell, a Farraline resident for several years. Helene and her sister were the first babies baptized at Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, during the first service held in our building.  The children were warmly welcomed by the staff and residents and sang three Christmas pieces for them. The residents joined the choir in singing a couple of familiar Christmas carols.  Everyone had a wonderful time!
