Obtaining a Wedding License

Before you can be married you must obtain a Marriage License. Marriage Licenses in New Brunswick are obtained from Service NB. Couples may phone Service NB to make an appointment and both members of the couple are required to attend the appointment at the time of application. There is a cost associated with a marriage license.

Witnesses

Two witnesses, who are at least 19 years of age are required to solemnize each marriage. Witnesses are required to sign the Marriage Register along with the Bride and Groom and the Minister.
