All they asked was that we should remember the needy in their group, the very thing I have been eager to do. Galatians 2:10

2020 Volunteer Opportunity: It’s been over 12 years since I took over the editorial duties of producing the church newsletter, The Link. After much consideration, I believe it is now time for me to relinquish this role and give my attention to other volunteer opportunities. The Advent Link (to be delivered Nov 17) will be the last newsletter that I will oversee. If this is something that interests you, please contact Kathy MacKay.
Scholarship Fund – Because Jacqueline Howie-Cleland, a very active contributor to church life at Saint Andrew’s, is attending the Vancouver School of Theology, Session has decided to activate the Scholarship Fund from which Saint Andrew’s provided scholarship support to Brad Blaikie. Contributions should be marked “Scholarship Fund”.
Church School – Sunday, October 27th Church school for children ages 3 to grade 6 will start next week in the upstairs parlour. We will follow the Young Children in Worship/Godly Play curriculum, where children experience God directly, learn and respond to sacred stories and become part of a community of worshipers. Sound familiar?
Christian Education – Monday, November 4th a group of church members passionate about ensuring our christian education programs remain at Saint Andrew’s will be meeting from 6:00-7:00 pm in the upstairs parlour. All those who are interested in discovering the vision of how we should serve our young people are invited to attend, even if you can’t commit to volunteering. For questions, comments or to RSVP, please contact Sonya Burrill.
