Church Family Trip: Hike out to the Maliseet Trail, Saturday, July 13th.

Just outside of Meductic NB is a beautiful, moderately difficult hike through the woods to a very pretty waterfall (Hayes Fall). We will be leaving Fredericton around 9:00 AM Saturday morning, having a picnic lunch at the falls and then returning to Fredericton for 1:00 PM. Please sign up on the sheet outside the kitchen if you are interested in joining us.

Youth Leadership Transition Campfire Sunday, July 21st.

A campfire at Odell park, to usher out the old youth leader and welcome in the new youth leader. All youth group members from 2013 to present are welcome to join us.

Beaverbrook Art Gallery Tour/Family Art Day July 27th and July 28th:

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery provides guided tours for small groups, and we will be having ours on Saturday, July 27th. Please sign up on the sheet outside of the kitchen if you are interested in joining us.
July 28th (the following day) is Family art day at the art gallery. We will also be organizing a group to attend that event, so please sign up on the sheet outside the kitchen if you are interested in joining us for that.

The Canadian “Green New Deal” will be discussed on Tuesday, June 18th, 7-9pm at a Town Hall Meeting sponsored by the Council of Canadians, Fredericton Chapter. It takes place at the Christ Church Cathedral Memorial Hall, 168 Church Street, Fredericton. The Green New Deal for Canada is a non-partisan roadmap to cut emissions in half in 11 years and in the process create many good jobs and build inclusive communities. Middle School Event: Friday, June 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 – Movie night! We will all be working together to make a promotional movie for the church.

Upcoming Recital of Solo Piano Works and Art Song
Soprano Angelina Lynn and Colombian pianist Juan Gonzalo Jiminez, are delighted to present a recital of solo piano works and art song on Sunday, June 9th, 7:00 pm at Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Both artists are pursuing their Doctor of Music degree at the University of Laval. The program will include well known works by Schumann, Chopin and Ravel, as well as some extraordinarily beautiful pieces by Colombian composers, Jaime Leon and Luis Calvo. Tickets will be sold at the door, $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students, with reception to follow in the church hall.

High School Event: Friday, June 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 – Downtown photo scavenger hunt followed by ice cream at the Happy Baker/Tingley’s.
