World Day of Prayer 2016

Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church hosted the 2016 Ecumenical World Day of Prayer Service in Fredericton on March 6, 2016. The service was written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Cuba and adapted for use in Canada by the Womens’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.

Jr/Sr High School Big Box Games Night – Sunday, March 20th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.  For the first time this year we will be bringing out the big cardboard boxes for a night of fun at the church. Games, prizes and snacks. Feel free to bring friends!

College & Career Dinner – Sunday, March 27th, 630 to 9 pm. Homemade food at Jordan and Candace’s place. Drives can be arranged and diets accommodated. Let Jordan know by Saturday the 26th if you are interested.

Annual Atlantic Presbyterian Women’s Christian Retreat – April 22 to 24 in Moncton.  Theme: Hurry Up and Slow Down (Resting in the Indwelling of Jesus).  For more information, see brochure available on foyer bulletin board or visit http://atlanticwomenschristianretreat.weebly.com

Proclamation: The Word of the Lord – May 4 to May 13 at Ste. Anne’s Chapel of Ease at Christ Church Parish Church.  It is the reading aloud of the entire Bible over a 10-day period, 14 hours per day.  The Canadian Bible Society’s goal is to proclaim God’s message in as many communities as possible. All churches, regardless of denomination, are invited to be part of the Proclamation event. Please contact Marg Leonard, Captain for SAPC if you would like to be part of this sharing of God’s Word.

Make a Wish

Wish1Make-A-Wish® Atlantic Provinces has granted Jack Leifso’s wish for a Star Wars themed bedroom makeover!  The Leifso family, via Skype, received this great news on Tuesday afternoon.  Make-A-Wish will send the family to a hotel while a reno team comes in for the Bedroom Make-over, which will include a communications hub to keep in touch with other family members. The makeover will include light sabres,  Star Wars character statues, removable wall murals, and a desk for study.  Plus some surprises to be unveiled upon their return!

The World Day of Prayer Service, as prepared by the Women of Cuba, will be held at Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church this Sunday, March 6 beginning at 2:00 pm.   All are welcome to attend!

VBS Coordinator – The CE committee is looking for individuals interested in organizing Vacation Bible School this summer. If you are interested, please talk to Jordan, or any member of the CE committee.
