Refugee Sponsorship

The Session of Saint Andrew’s congregation strongly supports the sponsoring of a refugee family. About a year and a half ago a study group met for several weeks and looked at the issue of refugee sponsorship. The Mission Committee has discussed this at several meetings. At the September meeting of Session a recommendation to proceed was made. To that end we have distributed a sponsorship pledge form. In fact there are two forms with the hope that you might know someone who would also like to participate in the program. Copies of the form are available at the back of the church, in the Link and on the church website at http://sapc.ca/refugee-sponsorship/.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this matter.
The amount needed for sponsorship is between $15,000 and $18,000.
Pledges and donations are now in the $ 15,000 range.
