Session has decided to hold an Election of Elders and a letter with envelope and ballot list will be sent out within the next several weeks.

Scholarship Fund – Jacqueline Howie-Cleland, a very active contributor to church life at Saint Andrew’s, is attending the Vancouver School of Theology. Contributions to the fund should be marked “Scholarship Fund”. 

Christian Education – Mon, Nov 4th a group of church members passionate about ensuring our christian education programs remain at Saint Andrew’s will be meeting from 6:00-7:00 pm in the parlour. All those who are interested in discovering the vision of how we should serve our young people are invited to attend, even if you can’t commit to volunteering. October is Meat and Mitten Month. Please bring your donations of cans of meat or fish to replenish our food box. Donations of mittens, all sizes, are always welcome during cold weather.

The next meeting of the Mission and Outreach Committee will be held Monday, October 28th at 7:00pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

2020 Volunteer Opportunity – It’s been over 12 years since I took over the editorial duties of producing the church newsletter, The Link.  After much consideration, I believe it is now time for me to relinquish this role and give my attention to other volunteer opportunities.  The Advent Link (to be delivered Nov 17) will be the last newsletter that I will oversee. If this is something that interests you, please contact Kathy MacKay.

The Link – Do you have a poem, story, recipe or article you think would be of interest to others? Preparations are underway for the Advent issue of “The Link”.  Please send material to the church office by November 10th.

Scholarship Fund – Because Jacqueline Howie-Cleland, a very active contributor to church life at Saint Andrew’s, is attending the Vancouver School of Theology, Session has decided to activate the Scholarship Fund from which Saint Andrew’s provided scholarship support to Brad Blaikie. Contributions should be marked “Scholarship Fund”.

Church School – Sunday, October 27th  Church school for children ages 3 to grade 6 will start next week in the upstairs parlour.  We will follow the Young Children in Worship/Godly Play curriculum, where children experience God directly, learn and respond to sacred stories and become part of a community of worshipers.  Sound familiar?

The Women’s Inter-Church Council of Fredericton is having their Annual General Meeting on Friday, October 18 at 1:30pm at St. Paul’s United Church. Everyone is welcome of all Christian denominations.
