Annual Meeting – You are invited to come and join together at this year’s Annual Meeting on Sunday, February 9th following worship service.  Potluck lunch provided by Board and Session members.

Mission and Outreach Committee – All are welcome to join us at our next meeting on January 27th at 7:00pm.

Elder Election – The ballots have been counted and an ordination of new Elders is planned for the service on February 9th, the day when the Annual General Meeting follows the service. Seventy six (76) ballots were cast and 10 Elders will be added to the nine (9) members of Session who have terms expiring in later years.”


Barnabas Warming Centre – Volunteers Needed

The Barnabas Warming Centre will provide a safe and welcoming environment where guests can come in out of the elements to enjoy warm beverages, light snacks, games and movies. The space, provided by Brunswick Street Baptist Church, is located behind the church at  359 George Street and will be open from 1:00 – 4:30 pm seven days a week.  Volunteers are needed to help provide a warm and welcoming environment.  A staff coordinator will be there to support the warming centre guests and volunteers. Volunteers can sign up through ConnectFredericton  https://www.connectfredericton.ca/.

Romantico: Music for Cello and Guitar at Wilmot on January 26th Please plan to join cellist Emily Kennedy and classical guitarist Steven Peacock for Romantico: Music for Cello and Guitar, a varied concert  celebrating the many expressive possibilities of this intriguing pairing of instruments, on Sunday, January 26th at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Wilmot United Church.  The 20th-century program features Sonata for Cello and Guitar by Brazilian composer Radamés Gnattali and Suite No. 1 by Italian composer Raffaele Bellafronte, as well as works by de Falla, Marchelie and Piazzolla.  Admission is by voluntary contribution; all are welcome.

World Day of Prayer Bible Study

The Fredericton Women’s Inter-Church is having the World Day of Prayer Bible Study on Monday, February 3,2020 at 10:00AM at Christ Church Parish Church.  Guest Speaker Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove will lead the Bible Study.

The 2020 World Day of Prayer service was written by the Women of Zimbabwe. The Theme is “Rise! Take Your Mat and Walk.” Any women of all denomination of faith are encourage to come to the Bible Study.

An Ecumenical worship service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be held at St Dunstan’s Church Site on Wednesday, January 22nd at 12:00 noon.  All are welcome!   Contact Mary McMahon 457 0093 for further information.

Cancellation Policy

Should it be necessary to cancel or postpone the service, such as due to a storm, the decision will be made no later than 9:30am (i.e., minimum of one-and-a-half hours prior to the start of the service). Notification of cancellations will be posted on the main page of the Church website, as well as on the CBC New Brunswick Storm Centre page. If possible, a message will be sent to the congregational email list, news blog, and Twitter feed, and recorded on our telephone answering machine.
